65th Birthday Celebration

Yesterday was my 65th and I made up my mind last week that I was going to go to Pinecrest Lake and run the trail around the lake. I had been up there last week with my dog and it was beautiful but knew I couldn't take her with me if I was going to run. Here are pictures from the day.

This is how the dog spent her day.

Started my day with a great apple turnover from one of the fruit stands on the way!

THESE PICTURES ARE HIKING COUNTER CLOCKWISE

As nice as the pictures look they don't do it justice. The trail is very diverse in both ecology as well as "degree of difficulty". The lake is at around 6000 feet so of course that was a challenge but it was a fun way to start the day. I'll share the rest of the day in another post because it didn't end with this picture. It wasn't even noon yet. :)
